Raheny Tidy Village Group

We are a group of volunteers working to  improve the environment of Raheny for the benefit of the residents of Raheny and visitors to our village.

The Raheny Tidy Village Group formed in 1992.

We have had great success in Tidy Towns national competition over the years and are delighted to say that we won our first silver medal in 2023.

We are also the winner of two National Awards. In 2023, we were national winners in the All-Ireland Pollinator plan  awards. And in 2022 we won the national prize in the Pride of Place awards in the Category Urban Neighbourhood/ Villages over 3000 inhabitants.

Tidy Towns 2023

We are delighted to say that Raheny was awarded a silver medal in the National Tidy Towns competition in 2023. This was our first silver medal in the competition and it is after many years of hard work from all our volunteers.

We were also thrilled to win the national All-Ireland Pollinator award. Find out more about the pollinator friendly work we do here.

We are thrilled to say that Raheny village has won the 2022 national prize in the Pride of Place awards in the Category Urban Neighbourhood/ Villages over 3000!

The judges noted, “This urban village was presented as a welcoming place, proud of what it has to offer and a community that cares for its environment and is working to address climate change.”

The IPB Pride of Place awards is an annual all-island competition whereby local authorities from across the island of Ireland nominate groups in their communities who they feel have made a significant contribution to improving their neighbourhood, working collectively.

We are delighted that the judges have recognised all the hard work that the community groups in Raheny do. Thank you to Dublin City Council for their support in the awards.
